Meet Zachary

I’m a lifelong resident of Westmoreland County, raised in Mount Pleasant just three blocks from the East Huntingdon border. I moved to East Huntingdon in 2021 to remain close to my family and settle in a peaceful neighborhood. My parents taught me from a young age that a man’s greatest responsibility is to put God and family first. My faith has been my foundation through life, guiding me through some of the darkest times in our country’s recent history.

When I graduated college in May 2020, the COVID shutdowns were at their peak. Like many others, I struggled to find a job—facing dozens of rejections, even from places like Sheetz. Despite the setbacks, I held on to my faith, especially Philippians 4:19: “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” In one of the worst job markets in history, my prayers were answered when I landed my first job at BNY Mellon.

Since then, I have dedicated myself to doing every task—both in my career and academic life—to the absolute best of my abilities as a thank you for the blessings I’ve received. My career now spans five years of corporate accounting experience with companies ranging from under a million to over one hundred million in revenue. This August, I will graduate with my MBA from the Texas A&M University System, further strengthening my commitment to hard work and results.

If elected as Tax Collector, I will bring this mindset to the office. I believe that no person’s problem is too small or insignificant, and everyone who walks through the door deserves respect and understanding. To me, each individual is not just a taxpayer, but a neighbor with a story. This is the philosophy and way of life I strive to uphold every single day.
